Music: The Universal Language
A range of emotions are stirred in us when we hear music. We may cry at the sad strains of a love song. Or our feet just can't keep still when the tempo is upbeat. We have to move. Even if the words are foreign to us, we understand the language of music.
The importance of music education for children cannot be stressed enough. Statistics show that children who learn to play a musical instrument get higher grades in school, have better concentration, are more emotionally stable and gain self-confidence, to mention but a few benefits. Learning a musical instrument is a great stress reliever for adults too!
